Profile

Briefly tell us about yourself (e.g. hometown, family, hobbies, favorite BYU courses, intended profession)

I grew up all across the U.S but living here in Provo for college makes me want to call this place home. I was able to attend BYU with my two siblings and I also met my husband, Max, and for that I am forever grateful. I enjoy rock climbing and baking, although never at the same time. My favorite classes at BYU outside of the MLS major requirements were classes in the school of Family Life. I was able to gain so many skills and mindsets about family and the gospel that I truly feel that I received a well-rounded education at BYU. After graduation, I hope to gain employment at a hospital laboratory performing tests in microbiology, hematology, blood bank, urinalysis, and much more. I also strive to become a mother and do cool science experiments with my kids one day!

Who were your greatest supporters while earning this degree?

My greatest supporters while earning this degree were my parents who gave me the financial opportunity to attend higher education and the emotional support they gave when things got tough.

What advice do you have for incoming freshmen at BYU?

My advice to first-year students is to believe in your abilities and your potential.

How has your experience at BYU prepared you for the rest of your life?

BYU has prepared me to be a professional problem-solver who also understands the importance of empathy and understanding.
