I'm from Cottonwood Heights, Utah. I have 7 siblings and I am the 6th to graduate from BYU. I love to spend my free time in the outdoors, especially skiing. I loved evolutionary biology at BYU with Byron Adams. He was a professor that opened my mind to new ideas. I loved my time at BYU. I can't wait for my future career as a physician.

Who were your greatest supporters while earning this degree?

My parents, my older brother Matthew, and my research mentor, Dr. Bradford Berges.

What advice do you have for incoming freshmen at BYU?

Get to know your professors, they have a lot of insight.

How has your experience at BYU prepared you for the rest of your life?

BYU gave me grit and taught me to think outside of the box. I'm so grateful that BYU taught me to merge my belief in God and scientific principles. It really enlightened my mind.
