Beginning with the Fall semester of 2007, the curriculum for a molecular biology major changed.  New students enrolling in the major will have the following curriculum requirements.  Students already enrolled in the molecular biology will have the option of keeping their same requirements, or switching to the new major requirements.

                                        CHEM 105 : General College Chemistry (4:5)
                                        CHEM 106 : General College Chemistry (3:4)
                                        CHEM 107 : General College Chemistry Lab (1:3)
                                        CHEM 351 : Organic Chemistry (3:4)
                                        CHEM 352 : Organic Chemistry (3:4)
                                        CHEM 353 : Organic Chemistry Lab (1-2:6)

Complete two registrations of Mentored Research:

Complete at least 10 hours from the following:

                                        PHSCS 106, 108 : Intro Applied Physics (1 credit each)
                                        STAT 221 :

                                                  Note: Students desiring a minor in chemistry
                                        should take 2 hours of Chem 353.
