Welcome to the Clinical Laboratory Science Program

Brigham Young University's Clinical Laboratory Program is housed in the Department of Microbiology and Molecular Biology located in 775 WIDB. The Program Director, Dr. Shauna Anderson is also the Biology Director and her office is in 375-A WIDB.

Students declare a Pre-CLS Major and are accepted into the program in their Junior year. Once in the program, students have two semesters of intensive coursework after which they intern in a clinical facility for six months.

The program in clinical laboratory science is accredited by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences ( 8410 West Bryn Mawr Avenue, Suite 670, Chicago, IL 60631, [773] 714-8880. Program graduates are eligible for national certification examinations.
