| Biography I am majoring in Biology and hoping to go to medical school after graduation. My current research project is with RNAi deficient nematodes. I am trying to determine the probability of nematodes evolving resistance to RNAi by comparing the fitness of RNAi deficient mutants with the wildtype strain. My other project involves developing a better method for rearing tardigrades in the laboratory. We believe that tardigrades will reproduce more rapidly and in greater quantities in their original substrate, moss, than in a liquid medium. If we are able to culture large quantities of tardigrades, we will be able to perform genomic assays on them. | |
